This is a great affirmation. I’m very pleased to know that faithful servants of God are doing his work enthusiastically. I have a question for you though, after reading your reflection. You say you “do God’s work at the same time, without ever preaching or even mentioning God at all.” I’m not sure if you wrote this unintentionally, or unconsciously, but how can you expect others to grow in their faith if you yourself don’t speak of it to others? If believe if you are truly grateful and blessed by the gifts God has given you, it should be our duty as children of God to share his faith, his goodness, and more importantly, help others grow closer to God, our Father. As a professional Doctor, you are at a disposition to influence others when helping your patients with their health.

Peace be with you, brother Hesham. You are so correct in your analysis of the present situation in the USA. Sadly, so many people just don’t know what Islam really teaches. They hear false accusations and myths, and believe them without question or investigation.

Prior to a couple of years ago, I had always believed (having been taught it in the Christian churches in which I grew up) that muslims believe that the Jews (and Christians) got things backwards about Isaac and Ishmael. Supposedly muslims believed that it was Ishmael who was “chosen” and Isaac was REJECTED. What a surprise it was for me when I actually started reading the Qur’an and found out that according to Islam, BOTH Isaac and Ishmael were “chosen” and blessed by God, called to be Prophets. Moses was truly a great Prophet of God in Islam as well as Judaism and Christianity.

What a shock it is to most Christians, it appears, when they find out that the Qur’an says that “Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, [is] held in honour in this world and the hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to God” (3:45); or that 3:55 says to Jesus (peace be with him) “I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the day of resurrection…”
